The Israeli police attacked worshipers in the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem before dawn this morning. The series of violent attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli forces continued till noon.

The police also arrested 400 innocent Palestinian worshipers without provocation, who were transferred to the Atarut police station in occupied Jerusalem.

Violence has escalated in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem over the past year, and tensions are expected to escalate this month as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the Jewish religious festival of Passover and the Christian festival of Easter approach. Celebrating together.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, 12 Palestinians were injured by Israeli police firing rubber bullets and violence in the compound of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, while Israeli forces are preventing its medical personnel from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

An elderly woman outside the mosque told the media while crying that “I was sitting on a chair reading the Quran when Israeli soldiers threw stun grenades at us and one of them hit me too.”

The compound of the Al-Aqsa Mosque has seen an increase in violence by Israeli forces in recent years.

Israeli police firing and stun grenades resulted in a fire at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and damage to the mosque’s condition.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ spokesman Nabil Abu Rudina said, “We warn those who do not respect the boundaries at the holy places, this move will lead to a big conflict.”
