Islamabad, Italian Foreign Minister accompanied by a delegation of Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio visited the Foreign Ministry and planted a memorial tree in the Foreign Ministry’s greenery with Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi welcomed the Italian Foreign Minister.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with Italy, integrated cooperation between Pakistan and Italy at the level of European Union and United Nations is a sign of stable relations, war by Taliban leadership.
Statements on the abolition of, amnesty, protection of the rights of Afghans, and non-use of Afghan territory against anyone are encouraging. As per changing situation in Afghanistan, the international community has a responsibility to show solidarity with the Afghan people. The international community needs to take concrete steps to restore peace in Afghanistan and provide humanitarian assistance to Afghans. Peace in Afghanistan will benefit the entire region equally, we must also keep a close eye on anti-peace elements (spoilers) who are active in sabotaging peace efforts in Afghanistan.
