The Global Citizen Festival 2022 Goes Up in New York Streets

The 2022 Global Citizen Festival held today in New York’s Central Park. Organized by the Global Poverty Project, today’s fest is hosted by Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Likewise, another Global Citizen Festival will take place today at Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana with Usher, SZA, Stormzy, Gyakie, H.E.R., Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and TEMS performing.

The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival started in 2012 and organized by Global Poverty Project. The Global Citizen Festival is part of a movement to end extreme poverty. By contributing to charity acts on the website, including watching videos and signing petitions, fans can get free tickets to the festival.

In addition, the organizers are striving to make the event “Global” by live-streaming events in public locations. Since 2015, the goals of the festival have been closely aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include 17 tasks to end extreme global poverty by 2030. So idea behind arranging these live shows and concerts is to raise donations and end poverty.

Global Citizen Festival are held on annual basis at different places. Currently, these shows are being live streamed around the world where millions of people will get to see her performance from the Global Citizen Festival. Artists, Singers and other Global Influences also participate in these and give their performances.
