PM Pakistan Imran Khan met with the presidents of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Iran

During his two-day visit to Tajikistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan met separately with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He called on President Emomali Rahmon at the Presidential Palace and discussed issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and regional and international issues.

In addition, a meeting was held between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the President of Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the SCO Summit. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and global and regional issues. Prime Minister Imran Khan also highlighted the importance of the trilateral railway project, starting from the Uzbek city of Tirmiz, passing through the Afghan cities of Mazar-e-Sharif, Kabul and Jalalabad in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The provincial capital will be up to Peshawar. The two leaders agreed to further develop high-level political ties.

Prime Minister Imran Khan invited the President of Kazakhstan to visit Pakistan. On this occasion, the President of Kazakhstan also invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit his country. Pakistan wants to expand ties with Asian states. Pakistan can provide Central Asian countries with the shortest route through its ports for maritime trade. He also called on Alexander. Bilateral relations and global and regional issues were discussed on the occasion.

While addressing to Business community, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pashtuns will do their utmost to ensure the establishment of Tajik-coalition and coalition government in Afghanistan. Peace in Afghanistan is essential for Pak-Tajik trade, so that transportation can be improved. Burning Afghans will do everything possible for peace. On Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, on a two-day visit.

Addressing a joint business forum to promote business cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan, Imran Khan said that 67 companies from Pakistan in various fields have come to Tajikistan, with the aim of enhancing business ties between the two countries. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that cheap, clean hydraulic electricity is cheap in Tajikistan but unfortunately electricity is very expensive in Pakistan. He hoped that CASA 1000 energy project would also benefit us from Tajikistan’s electricity. It will be a matter of promoting trade, bilateral trade will benefit both countries.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that peace would be restored in Afghanistan after many years of conflict. Peace in Afghanistan is essential for Pak-Tajik trade, so that transportation can be improved. The Tajik President and I will work together for Afghan peace. We will do our best to bring the two major communities, the Pashtuns and the Tajiks, closer together and to ensure the formation of a coalition government.
